I was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho and graduated from the University of Colorado with a B.A. in Russian. My music education started with the violin in the public schools and has continued privately ever since. I currently study voice with Dr. Bryan Baker.
Over the years, I’ve had all kinds of vocal pedagogy training at workshops and conferences run by the National Association for Teachers of Singing, The Voice Foundation, and Shenandoah University.
I completed my Orff Schulwerk Certification at the San Francisco School, and from 2004 to 2015, I directed Children’s Music Programs and helped lead worship at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley. In 2009, I started the Community Living Center Chorus at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and I still volunteer there.
